Peanut Butter and Nutella: The Perfect Union

PB and Nutella Perfect UnionMove over jelly, there’s a new girl in town and her name is Nutella. Chocolate hazelnut spread, commonly referred to its branded name Nutella, is a sweet and creamy combination of hazelnut butter, cocoa, and milk. Nutella (or any brand of chocolate hazelnut spread) is good alone, but add peanut butter, and you have serious finger lickin’, just took a trip to food heaven, good. For me, peanut butter with chocolate is one of the best food combinations that exist.

Ever since I made my first peanut butter and Nutella sandwich, it has become my trusted, no fail, quick and easy breakfast item. Peanut butter and Nutella is best eaten between two, warm, toasted slices of bread or bagel (cinnamon raisin is my favorite). In fact, I commonly make my PB and Nutella sandwiches in my panini maker so that the two flavors can melt together. It is reminiscent of a warm, gooey peanut butter cup…

The steps to a perfect PB and nutella sandwich are simple:

Toast your favorite type of bread

Toast your favorite type of bread

Spread each side with a healthy dose of peanut butter and hazelnut spread

Spread each side with a generous dollop of peanut butter and Nutella

Place the two slices together

Place the two slices together

Enjoy warm or cooled!
